A ROAD TRIP OF GOOD VALUES
Given to us by mom
„For us, it’s more than just a song.
It’s a reminder of family, nature, and the values that truly matter.“
In summer, we set off on a family adventure through Canada’s Rocky Mountains – made possible thanks to mom. My sister was working at the University of Toronto, and with her family already there. We all decided to reunite, travel together and create good memories after a hard and painful time.
From Toronto we flew to Calgary, picked up our camper van, and the adventure began: Horseshoe Canyon, Banff, Lake Louise, Shuswap Lake, Kelowna’s vineyards, Vancouver, and finally Vancouver Island. We camped in stunning provincial parks, explored breathtaking nature, and discovered the deep respect Canadians show toward the First Nations.
But we also saw the impact of climate change up close: melting glaciers, droughts, wildfires, entire forests destroyed. These moments reminded us how important it is to protect our planet.
Life in the camper with seven people wasn’t always easy, but we fooled around, laughed, cooked, and shared unforgettable moments. Our youngest, Simon, made up a little song with his stuffed monkey, Diddy Kong – “Diddy Kong loves Bananas.” Soon it became our family anthem. With lots of fun, we added lyrics of good values we inherited from mom, turned them into a fun rap and finally let AI finish the song. That’s how the DiddyKongSong was born!
For us, it’s more than just a song. It’s a reminder of family, nature, and the values that truly matter.
Mom, thank you for everything – this song is also for you.
